As we were walking around the market, we saw a man sitting playing his guitar and busking, I really felt from God that we were meant to go and talk to him.
But before we went and spoke to him, we listened to God to see what He was saying about this man, and we felt Him say he had neck pain. When we started speaking to him he said he did have neck pain, but when we offered to pray he said he felt he didn’t deserve it. So we shared about God’s love for him and the gospel, and as we did I felt a strong sense that he was struggling with depression, like chains binding him up.
As we walked away I felt strongly about the depression, and realised that God had spoken to us about this before we came to the markets that morning. So we prayed about what to do, and decided to grab a guitar from the car and asked if we could jam with him! We sat and sung and played with him, then played ‘How He Loves Us’ which lead us into singing truth about God’s love to him in song. We really felt God’s presence and you could sense God’s peace resting upon him as we played together and hung out with him.
